new pc making a weird noise

Hey guys , I just got my new custom made PC yesterday and after the installation for latest drivers it started doing weird noises and looksl ike the hard drive light is constatly on.\

It's not a loud noise but it can be pretty annoying and my PC SHOULD be very quite with hes specs.

Any help will be appreciated.

Can you describe the weird noise, is it clicking grinding ect also if you remove the side panel and listen in can you roughly locate where the noise is coming from? The more you can tell us the better we can help :)

Agreed Grinding is usually of of these, foreign object touching the fan blades (like mentioned above), fan blades touching the casing it sat in or its faulty fan bearings. Make sure also the fan and area around dust and crap free.

I toke the drive out yesterday with a friend and we checked everything , nothing is touching it , seems clean and all that , yet it still does that annoying sound once in awhile , the drive works great but could it be defective and its running on borrowed time?

The drive is WD Black caviar 2TB
