Stuttering while Gaming

Hello. I am new to this community and honestly, I only joined because I need help on this one problem.

Every time I play a game, I always have an issue with the FPS going down for half a second. The FPS is good, but the stuttering is just maddening. It occurs usually when I look around or move.

Currently I am playing Batman: Arkham Origins, and I have also run benchmarks such as Heaven 4.0 that all share the same issue.

I have been trying to fix this for over 2 weeks now, checking other threads and such, but to no avail.

My specs are:
Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
6.00 GB RAM
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
NVidia GeForce GTX 770 OC Edition

If you can help me that'd be great, I recently bought my new GPU and I want to get the most out of it.

Heaven will stutter no matter what, if you are using v-sync, it will stutter because your fps are not constant 30/60/etc.

Do you have the settings cranked up all the way? Benchmarks usually aren't silky smooth because they are meant to push any system but for gaming your settings maybe turned up too high. I had to lower from max settings on batman when I had my 670 which is very similar to your card, I haven't replayed batman with my 780ti but am sure there wouldn't be any issues.

Ultra LSP750w with 45A on the 12v rail your psu is actually 550w. i7 920 is still great but it will be a bit of a bottleneck fot gtx770. overclocking it to over 3ghz will eliminate it. also check gpuz for gpu usage, to much flactuation can also occur due to poor psu quality.! i wouldnt try any overclocking cpu-gpu with that psu!

well your cpu still has some spirit in it. you most probably achieve even greater than 3ghz without aftermarket cooling. i wouldnt yet upgrate the cpu.after all you will also need a new mobo.i would begin with the psu first!i thing overclocking deserves a try! as for the psu i would suggest this one
