hello there people going to do a fresh install of windows 8 as it was already on a prebuilt system and then i put it in my own build and i believe thats the cause of my blue screen issues that im having. my problem is that it was installed on a hdd and i want to install it on my ssd... obviously i just unplug the hdd whilst doing the install but when its all done how do i then delete the older version off the hdd ???

I hope Windows 8 was installed by yourself on the pre-built? Cos if it was pre-installed you'll have activation probs...
Meanwhile you should be able to re-connect your HDD having installed to your SSD, you can do it whilst running. Use Disk Management to format the old Windows Partition...
Oh, and install to Unallocated Space on your SSD for a perfect install...

no it was pre installed and no activation probs been using it like that for a few months now .... and i jus tried installing it on ssd with hdd disconnected before inserting the disc it said it was in safe mode somehow ? and also i can install windows through the desktop but how do i make sure it goes to the ssd ???

From where did you source your Installation disk?
Safe Mode? Presume you chose Optical Drive 1st Boot device and got the 'Press any key' invitation to boot from the Installation disk?
Not familiar with installing from desktop, only upgrades, not sure if it's possible to perform a clean install that way...
Perhaps list exactly what you've done.
How did you transfer W8 from the pre-built?

Ah, so you installed W8 yourself on to a pre-built, explains all. Shame you haven't managed to install to the SSD tho, it will make a huge difference to load/boot times...

no no lol that already had windows 8 i then bought another copy because of new mobo and blah blah fired up the new system and it jus booted into windows that was already pre installed lool

That doesn't surprise me, but it would if it Activated successfully!
