AMD Athlon X4 750K Processor
MSI A78M-E35 Motherboard
XFX Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition
4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
430W Corsair CX430 Power Supply

Those are my specs, I looked up on youtube and people are getting over 200 FPS on minecraft using the AMD Radeon 7770. Both the AMD and XFX radeon gpu both price around $110 meanwhile I only get 50-60 frames when playing minecraft and when I max the setting I drop to 40 FPS for minecraft. I really have no idea on why but this is what is happening. Someone please help!!!!

Your question doesn't contain enough information to give you good advice. I think it is possible that you are running slower CPU than the guy on youtube. For example an i7 will vastly outperform an X4 and is most likely to be your bottleneck.
Also increasing the graphics to max? Does the Youtube video increase the graphics to the max? Are you running the same version and map of minecraft in your test? I think your PC is probably running fine, but you CPU seems old, and your graphics also seems outdated.

I guess it's good enough for minecraft. Barely.

The CPU isn't old, it's actually one of AMD's newer CPUs.
But AMD CPUs always run way worse in Minecraft.

Yeah that chip is only like 1.5 years old, but the technology behind it seems to lag years behind intel when it comes to actually calculating something. And minecraft needs lots of CPU power to calculate the world.

Have you got the latest graphics drivers from AMD? Check you task manager if some other Process is maybe using too much % of your CPU power. It can happen that SVCHost or something else is taking 50-100% CPU and then your benchies will suffer.

Maybe what you saw on youtube was an OC'd card.

Especially since it can only use 1 CPU core...

do you have the same resolution as them? how about the cpu? i dont play the game, so i cannot comment much, but make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

and 60fps is good. 200 is useless if the monitor is just 60hz

Well, I play at 1080p. Unless he's running Minecraft at 1440p or 4K that shouldn't be an issue.

But I'm 90% sure it's his CPU. No AMD CPUs are really good for Minecraft, they rely too much on multithreading and don't have the single core speed on an i3/i5/i7 that's needed in Minecraft.
