Hey, just curious as to what the best card would be for gaming (e.g. BF4, DayZ on MAX settings) and pretty heavy rendering/3D modelling. Thanks.

Well that's probably a Titan black or 295x or some other completely overpriced card. Without a budget we can't give you a real answer

I don't have a budget 'Heh, heh' I was wondering if the 690 is still sold, as that is the fastest nVIDIA card

There is no point in getting the 690; You can get two GTX 770s and SLI them for 2/3 of the price and get equal performance.

Best single GPU card ATM: Titan Black

Best dual GPU card ATM: R9 295X2

take two titan blacks and run them in sli, or take two 780ti s and run them in sli, all depends on your budget.....but if 3d rendering is the main target, then buy a quadro k6000 or wait for titan Z(better option)

it is indeed, but im expecting that it will be better than sli blacks and i think thats the reason why nvidia is delaying it

R9 295x2 is probably the best card at the moment.

most pro applications take advantage of cuda, which is exclusive to nvidia...secondly nvidia has technologies like 3d vision, gsync , shield, physx, TXAA and overall, SLI has better drivers

Yeah agree with most of that, but many pro apps do support OpenCL, but hard to say as the OP hasnt said what applications.

The fact is that the 295x2 is the fastest card at the moment.
