Razer Naga 2014 Opinions?

It's a MMO mouse, but I'm searching one mouse for FPS games and games in third person such as GTAs, Saints Row games, etc. Is it a good choice? I guess those 12 buttons would help to change weapon faster and do things faster, and that's cool.

Solution
1. I recommended the death adder because it has less problems with synapse and because you really wanted green LED :p . Green is mostly a razer thing.

2. I'm guessing you will need synapse to do this. With my old g110 I needed to use the software for LED stuff.

3.The death adder constantly shows up in "best FPS mouse" threads, so I'm guessing it's good because of accuracy or something else.

4. Well this is the old option. Not sure if this would work

I can't say if it's a safe download (It could be, didn't test). Probably will be one of those sites like CNET that adds crapware you need to remove after.

Hey,
Depends what you need in a mouse. I personally don't like razer anymore (mice in particular) since the synapse 2.0. The quality also seems to just be going down as well in recent years. I see many more problems on the 2014 model than I do for the 2012. My last mouse was the 2012 and I'd say it was pretty good over all. After a year it started the double-click razer mice are infamous for; you can fix them, but it's really only temporary. Instead of having macro keys on my mouse, I just got a k95 keyboard (18 macro buttons on the left) and use a non-gaming mouse.

Anyways, this would be another option http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G600-Gaming-Mouse-Black/dp/B0086UK7IQ
It looks similar to the 2014 but $20 less. Haven't done any research on it though.
The 2013 death adder can be a good option, far less problems than other razer mice.

Thank you so much for the answer! I'd like to know more about why you don't like Razer anymore, what happened with Synapse 2.0? It's a cool tool. What kind of problems have you seen in the 2014 model? And that double-click thing, it happens to most of their mice or just a few?

Thank you for the other options too, but the Logitech mouse isn't for me because the keyboard is going to have green lights, so I would want the mouse with green lights as well.

Edit: Is it true that you must have Synapse 2.0 to make your mouse work? I mean, can't you be without Synapse 2.0 without the macro keys, but working the clicks?

Well just the privacy aspect alone...For awhile you actually needed internet connection to use your mouse. They changed it, but I personally find it shady.

Basically, it is just a really buggy program and adds to the list of problems with some razer mice.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1319323/razer-synapse-2-0-software-mouse-unusable-if-you-dont-have-an-internet-connection-or-their-servers-are-down

Here's one example of a thread where we can not solve the problem:

Lastly, if the LED color is important to you then the death adder would probably be your best choice. If you did have trouble with synapse 2.0, it seem you can just uninstall it after and the adder should work fine.

Thanks. But I'm also getting the RAZER BlackWidow keyboard, so if I'd switch from Razer to other brand I'd also have to change the keyboard, as it's Synapse compatible too... And it would be hard because I need a Spanish keyboard (this means it has the 'Ñ' and accent keys)... So I don't know. The mouse and keyboard looked so good, and that brand has to screw it up with that software.

Edit: The DeathAdder mouse is also Synapse-compatible, no?

2nd Edit: I'm also getting the mousepad from Razer, but there's no problem with this, is there?

Thanks! I think I'll go with the Razer DeathAdder. But I've some other doubts before:

1. I think I got it. The NAGA needs Synapse to use the macro keys, but not the clicks and wheel. Is that why you recommend me DeathAdder? It hasn't macros.

2. Do I need Synapse to turn the lights from the mouse down? And to turn the lights from the keyboard down?

3. Will I be OK with a mouse without macros for FPS? I thought it was cool to change weapons faster and do other things.

4. What do I get if I install Synapse? What other options are there? I don't get why would I need Synapse for the DeathAdder... It hasn't macros.

Thanks, I'm going for the DeathAdder then. After all, I didn't need 12 buttons.

What concerns me is that I don't want to have the lights from both mouse and keyboard all the day, but I'd need Synapse then.
