Hi

A few months ago i bought a new motherboard (z77 MPower) and would like to know how to overlock my cpu i7 3770k 3.5ghz stock to 4.4-5hgz.When i bought my rig 2 years ago it was overclocked to 4.5ghz.Im new to the whole OC`ing and dont want to damage or fry my cpu.I also have a Corsair H100 liquid cpu cooler. If anyone has a link, guide(tutorials) or advice on how to oc my cpu, it would be much appreciated.

Specs:

z77 MPower Big bang motherboard
8Gig corsair 1600mhz
gtx 780 Ti
H100 extreme Performance Liquid CPU cooler
750Gig HHD
Windows 7

Kind regards,

with such set up you can hit 4.5ghz with no much effort.you will also need a rock solid psu to be doing that. at least a true 650w one.also avoid auto cpu voltage, will result in ridiculously high voltages and thus temps! manual - fixed voltages will produce the best results, as the guide explains. dont overdo it though, for 24/7 use i wouldnt pass 1.3v and 75c for a long lasting cpu
