Hello
I bought a desktop computer 2 and a half years ago, and i am now looking into upgrading it. The problem is that i am not sure what is compatible and what isn't. And wether or not i exceed the limit of the PSU.
My current system is as follows:
- Cooler Master Master Elite 430(Case)
- Intel Quad-Core Xeon E5506(CPU)
- ASUS Sabertooth X58(Motherboard)
- Club 3D Geforce GTX 550Ti(3GB)(GPU)
- D-Link DWA-547 300MBIT PCI Adapter
- Intel BXSTS100C Heat Sink Active
- Samsung SH-222AB DVDRW Black(Disc Drive)
- Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 600W(PSU)
- Western Digital 500GB Green 32MB(HDD)
- Corsair 16Gb DDR3 1600MHz (4x)(RAM)
I have around 133 to 267 Euro at my disposal(183 to 366 USD). And if needed switch something instead of just adding.
Thanks on beforehand
/Johan

Solution
well you could get an ssd such as 840 evo it would improve responsivenes a lot loading programs etc and the rest of money you can sink into video card your psu should be able to handle most video cards. ALso if you dont play video games no reason to upgrade video card just get 250 GB ssd and the rest of your system is fine.

i would get
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($74.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($229.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $304.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

I believe these are the best options:

1st option: Getting a GTX 770 from Nvidia (its price is between $300 and $350). And if there's some money left, get a 1TB or 2TB hard drive.

2nd option: Buying a R9 280X from AMD (its price is between $280 and $300) and a SSD (for the OS, so faster loads).

Thank you for taking your time to help me. But for some reason the GPU runs 311 USD in Denmark?? and SSD 100 USD.
