  1. The whole hard drive is reusable but Windows 8 is not. You will need to reinstall windows after reformatting everything on the hard drive.
Windows 8 OEM System Builder license comes with transfer rights, so you can move it to a new motherboard and reactivate by telephone
  2. Try plugging it in and booting from it .

Some people have claimed that Win 8 is smart enough to sort the drivers out for you .
  3. Thank you so just give it a shot?
  4. But what if my hard drive doesn't become windows 8 on the screen does that mean it would ask me to reinstall?

No, it won't ask to reinstall.
Either it will boot, or it just won't.
  6. It may take some time to try and sort out drivers for the mb .

Older versions of windows cannot do this , and I havent tried with win 8 .... but some people say it can work so it is worth a shot
