tell us the whole pc configuration like cpu speed ram and psu and the g41 boards are not good for overclocking and for overclocking you should need a better heatsink and better motherboard..

Core 2's are quite dated, and generally not very good for gaming, if you are wanting to play more current titles.

Whether you can run games on your Core 2 Duo machine completely depends on which games you want to play. The Core 2 Duo CPU's are old, but if you're going to be playing older games, then you could run games fine. However, you don't seem to have a graphics card. Again it completely depends on what games you'll be playing, but if it's anything 3d with decent graphics; you need to invest in a graphics card. Nothing too over the top, as your C2D could end up bottlenecking a GPU, whereby you would not get the performance you paid for.

Also please list what games you have in mind of playing, and I'll let you know if it's compatible. But before playing any games, I think you should install a graphics card first; your motherboard supports PCI-Express x16. Once you have a graphics card you should be good to go; but if you're looking to upgrade further, your processor is a place to start, you could install at least a Core 2 Quad Q6600.

With a Q6600 and a decent graphics card, you should be able to play most games; but perhaps not at full graphical settings.

All the best. :)
