Windows 7 64-bit Error - Game Installation

Hi all, I've recently bought Saints Row IV digital download from Game but then when I try to install it I keep getting the error;

An error occurred while unpacking: Does not match checksum!
Unarc.dll returned an error code: -12
ERROR: file C:\Program Files (x86)\Volition\Saints Row IV\data1.7z.001 failed CRC check

Ive tried moving the file itself to another location, installing it on another computer and re downloading the entire file but it still keeps coming up with this error at about 11%.

  1. Sounds like a corrupt download. Have you tried downloading the game again?
  2. Yeah im downloading it again now, also i tried installing it on another pc and it installed fine so im really confused about whats wrong
  3. Did you use the same program to unpack the file on both computers?
  4. Yes I used winrar on both, I mean the game worked on my PC originally but then I had to uninstall it because it kept giving me an error about halfway through the game but now it wont install again, if that helps.
  5. Is there anything left over from the original install? Have you removed all traces of the original install?
  6. Yes I've removed everything but the save game, should I get rid of that too?
  7. Instead of getting rid of it you could try moving it to a different location and try reinstalling though I'm not sure this will solve anything. Hopefully someone with more experience with this type of problem will come along and offer help. Of course you could also try uninstalling winrar and installing it again in case it somehow became corrupt. Before doing that you could test winrar with another file and see if you get the same problem. If not then uninstalling and reinstalling may not help.
  8. Ive moved it to another location and tried installing multiple times but ill try uninstalling winrar and see what happens.
  9. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hopefully someone else can provide a solution for you.
  10. Thanks for trying to help though

volk if you have the game still installed try uninstalling it with revo uninstaller. And then again unpack the new downloaded version and try to install it.
  12. Unfortunately _aragon_ I uninstalled the game when it crashed halfway through the game, is their any other way that this error could be resolved I've tried copying the Unarc.dll file and copying the ISDone.dll file but the error still shows up.
  13. It's alright now _aragon_ I left my computer off for a few days and then restarted it a few dozen times and now its working for me again after it installed I just searched through all the files again to see if there was any remaining files from the old installation and deleted them. Thanks for the help.
  14. Try to download the ISDone.dll from the internet or download an app called DLL.fixer
    Worked for me :)
