Hello,

I bought a EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B 750W ATX EPS12V Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze to power my Gigabyte Radeon HD R9 270X OC 1100MHZ 2GB 5.5GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card in my new CPU build. The guy whos putting it together for me said the math didnt work and I might have issues. Can anyone help?

You need a minimum 500 watts system power with 24 A on the 12 V rail. Your PSU meets and exceeds this requirement.

Your builder might be wanting to sell you some other PSU and make an extra buck!

Apparently the issue is that each connector is only 20A?

the video card requires 2 x two 6-pin external power connectors but each one from the power supply can only deliver max 20 A? On the video card box it says 2 x 75W required?

Sorry, but this is a little over my head. Basically hook up the two 6 pin cords and it should be good to go?

Yes connect the two 6-pins connectors to the graphics card. Make sure that the graphics card is inserted and plugged into the PCI slot properly. (To remove the graphics card make sure that the detent is released, then pull out).

Yes, and it is better to understand and confirm things before buying components that may be unsuitable.

You are always welcome here!
