I got a free custom built desktop from work with a geforce 9 series in it as the main video outpu (512mb) which I would have no problem with this supporting my main graphics if it didn't have a broken fan and hit a critical 120 degrees Celsius mid game and barley run 15 fps from 180 so I set up an older radeon ati 256mb as my main graphics and installed drivers and worked just fine however while attempting to play Diablo 3 I found myself unable to get it off of the broken nvidia (on a much smaller monitor because of overheating ) so I changed the video cards primary slots (same pin size and shape) and tried to turn it on suddenly red flashing error message

Too long didn't read. I've got 2 video cards and a dual monitor setup on both cards tried switching cards T get the other card recognized as main output have bios problems

Try just taking it out temporarily and see if the game will run on the ati card. Until its not in the system it may keep trying to use the broken card.

still got the same bios message " PCIE High-end graphics card power not connected" I feel like I may need to go edit the bios with the NVidia in maybe? and see if I can change it over??

Does the ATI card need PCI-e Power connected? if so you should connect it.

this may be the solution now that I look closer, ill have to but a cord for it though T_T (have a modular power supply but the previous owner just gave the case and all its components currently within not anything extra)
caught me off guard though because the main card doesn't have a PCI-e? as well as it hasn't needed it before? the ati has a six slot but nothing on my spare cords has anything. guess ill just have to play on my laptop till I can get a cord

thanks for helping =)
