I just installed my new evga 770 sc when i put it in and turned it on my mother board started to turn on and off then after like 10 mobo resets it said
WARNING ! ! ! The previous overclocking had failed. Please enter setup to configure your system. Press F1 to run setup. F2 to load default values and run set up.
(never did over clocking or pressed anything so I assume the overclocking it is talking about is from the factory over clocking.)

I pressed F2 just to be safe.
My graphics card works perfectly fine it ran Crysus 2 on full Ultra settings in campaign and multiplayer. But i guess my question is...

Is the 770 SC now just a normal 770? Did it reduce the factory overclock to a reference 770 now?/ How can i tell?

MSI P67a-GD65 B3 (Bios fully updated)
EVGA 770 sc
Corshiar TX 650w (With coil whine any way to get rid of that?)
Antec 900 Case
XMS 3 Corshair 8 gigs 1600 RAM.
i5 2500k

No it would be talking about your CPU/RAM overclock, not the graphics card. If you havent overclocked the CPU or RAM then it sounds like theres some instability, possibly due to the additional load on the 12v rail (from adding the new card).

run Prime95 torture test for no more then 1 hour, 10 mins is fine, you will know if something is wrong very soon as it will run your CPU @ 100%. Your screen will flicker and PC will crash if something is wrong.

As for now, it appears to be a successful OC, well done!
