Hi guys, I've recently bought fx 8320 but unfortunately my 450 watt failed me , I have 2x450 watt (same brand) there's some chip called add2psu , the question is if I used the chip will the 900 watt go to the mobo to power all the part(especially CPU) or will it power the parts that you plug in with molex connector, I want to full use that 900watt so the pc won't shutdown due to low power,
Specs
Fx 8320 stock
Gpu:r7 260x
4gb ddr3 ram
320gb hdd

Your system should be using less than 300W so if your system mysteriously reboots, it is most likely a power quality issue rather than quantity.

Consumer PSUs are generally not meant for load-sharing so there is no guarantee this will work as expected. Also, if you put two PSUs with poor output quality together, you will most likely still have power quality issues with their combined output... and with two units interacting with each other, quality issues may become worse.

The add2psu could work if you power your graphics card and peripherals with the second power supply hooked to the add2psu

The first power supply is connected to the motherboard via the 24pin connecter and use one molex to power the add2psu board
second power supply 24pin connector is attached to the add2psu board and use the second power supply to power your other components that way the first power supply's 12v rail is dedicated to the motherboard.

I still agree that a higher wattage power supply is the best way to go though.
