For some reason, I do not have a default mail set. I tried to email a document and was told I have no email default set. I have had email for years. I cannot set one on the Set Defaults page because mail is not listed anymore. How do I set a default account from one of my two email accounts. I have Outlook/hotmail and also Gmail. Can someone help me? I know it should be easy but I don't know how.

Windows 7 doesn't come with a default mail client. You need to install one (such as outllook or thunderbird), or login via the appropriate web site.

I agree with Hawkeye22. Thunderbird is free however...You are using what is known as web based email. You need client based such as Outlook (microsoft)or Thunderbird (mozilla) to set it as default because it is installed.
