I have a wireless Xbox 360 controller that I want to connect to my PC to be able to play FIFA World with. I went out and bought a USB charger for my controller so that I could connect it to my PC. I installed the drivers needed and I restarted the computer. But it still wont connect. It just blinks which is a sign of that it's trying to connect. I have tried to go into RUN and type in joy.cpl but it wont show anything under units. Someone please help me. May it be the charger that is the problem?

You need the wireless receiver such as the one in the fourth pic: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823109243

I have no experience with aftermarket wireless receivers (there are quite a few out there), but I have used the Microsoft branded one (have bought two, one broke in a move, and so I had to buy another). They work great, but I'm not too sure Microsoft sells the receiver separately, so you're looking at paying ~$40 for the controller and receiver.

A wireless controller requires a wireless receiver. A charging cable doesn't convey signals between the PC and the controller, it's just wired to supply electricity. You either need to get a wireless receiver (google around, it's a little hard to find at times) or just buy a wired controller that specifically says "For PC". Good luck!
