Advice on $700 first time build.

Solution
It's worse ; why do you insist on getting a 260x ?
The athlon x4 might have more cores but it will bottleneck more gpus than the pentium will
you're overspending on the motherboard and that cpu isn't made of good capacitors so it's way worse than the evga one plus it won't be able to handle better gpu's like a 280x because there won't be enough wattage
If you want more upgradeability then don't get your build go for something like this :

CPU: Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz Dual-Core Processor ($56.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($43.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0...

generally you want to do RAM in pairs of two so it can run in dual channel mode.. so 2x4gb sticks.

however, in the real world, it makes a very minimal difference since RAM is never really a bottleneck, especially on a budget build with a standard hard drive... just food for thought.

I'd personally go with a 750ti GPU. dont worry about how much VRAM, those entry level cards don't have enough horesepower to use more than 1gb anyway

I'd go for dual channel RAM , it makes a slight difference between single channel ram though it is worth it imo ^^
I won't go for a 750ti when you can get this build for a bit more , you can always upgrade to an i5 later

I already have a case: CiT Vantage Midi Mesh Gaming Case with HD Audio, 4 Fans, Card Reader and No PSU - Black
And also, what is the benefit of the Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz Dual-Core over the Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core?

What do you mean when you say the athlon will bottleneck more gpus than the pentium?

It will make more gpus throttle than the pentium , which will give less performance .
Let's say you're gonna buy a 280 , the athlon will throttle ( bottleneck ) and will give less performance , compared to the pentium which will not bottleneck the 280
Also the fm2+ and am3(+) sockets are dead and the 1150 socket is still alive so will give more upgradeability
