Hello. Just got a new monitor and if I could use it with my old one I'd love to. I have a radeon 7770 with one each DVI HDMI and DP
Using hdmi and dvi does not work. And I have no dp cable.

What do I have to do to make them both display. For what it's worth the second monitor was plugged into hdmi and Windows detected another display but nothing was there on it. Yes it was powered on.

Also, side question. There is a vga input at the top of my tower near the motherboard not to the gpu. Is this useless? Never worked for me. Edit - at the top is not only a vga but another dvi

Solution
Your motherboard video outs will not work when you have a graphics card plugged in - nothing you can do will change that.

Does the second monitor have the correct settings? Make sure that it's plugged in to either hdmi or dvi and then change its settings to match that so that it's reading from the correct input.

To clarify what I tried, I had original monitor on dvi (with the blue vga converter on it) like usual, and tried hdmi for the new one. When plugged in, the second (hdmi) monitor was black, but my windows interface would dissappear from primary monitor (dvi) and, I'm guessing, move to the new hdmi, but still blank, screen.
