Um im not if this is the right place to post this but you guys will let me know anyways.

Ive been trying to connect to online games for years now, Ive looked on many forums and other tech support websites but most people dont have my problem . When i try to play almost any game like drakensang, crossfire, world of warcraft, Eden Eternal and many others it always tells me connection timed out , failed to connect to server and other errors. The only games ive been able to connect to with no problem are games like evony , tanki online, runescape and just recently i tried connecting to Call of thrones but have been able to connect to specific servers. In minecraft to ive tried connecting servers but it doesnt work unless the servers use logmein hamachi (which is no longer free) and even if i do connect with hamachi i still get lots of lag .

I dont know whats wrong ive tried so many solutions but none of them work i dont know if its a problem with the pc or the modem but ill try to give you as much info on my software as i can.

I have a Zhone 1518-A1-xx router
and i have a normal HP laptop
Btw before we had a custom built desktop which didnt work either
Our internet service provider is Blink Bmobile which is owned by TSTT

If you need any more info just let me know.

Have you done a Speedtest.net run and see what your ping and U/D link speeds are?

Do that and post your results.

Have you ever contacted your ISP (BLink) about this? How about opening ports on your router specific to the game?

Yes, those are really low for online gaming. They should be up into the 3-4 MB/s range. I would contact your ISP and see what their recommended speeds are for your internet package. It could be a bad line in the house or on their grid. Is your ISP satellite by any chance?

Ok. Cool. Next, you should ask one of your friends that use Blink ISP to do the speedtest.net test and compare with their results.

Is it this BLink? http://www.blinkit.net.au/
That BLink offers mobile broadband in which case I imagine you have some sort of wireless receiver going either directly to your Laptop/Desktop or via some sort of router. Their packages don't seem to go as low as the speed test results your receiving. This sounds to me that you're most likely having a reception issue. It could be because of various factors in and around your home or because the area you're in just isn't getting good coverage at all. Again, if it's THIS BLinks, you should definately contact them about your speeds. That's way too low and likely the issue.
