I think I may have double posted since I thought I wrote out all the specs but anyway for clarity sake I'll edit this post. I currently own a mid range desktop gaming PC that I don't get to use very much since I travel for work a lot. So I'm looking at a budget gaming laptop that I can take on the road with me (all work and no play, kind of thing) and I've narrowed it down to the Lenovo Y510p and the MSI GE70 Apache Pro-012. Here are the specs:

Lenovo Y510p
- I7 4000
- 15.6" screen
- NVidia GT 755M (dual SLI)
- 16 gig RAM
- 1 TB HDD @ 5400
- 6 lbs
- $1299

MSI GE70 Apache Pro-012
- I7 4700
- 17.3" screen
- NVidia GTX 860M
- 12 gig RAM
- 1 TB HDD @ 7200
- 6 lbs
- $999

Weight is important to me as I had an ASUS ROG gaming laptop before it got damaged in a house fire, that weighed almost 12 lbs. Not very portable and TSA security would laugh when they saw me taking the beast out of my wheeled laptop case which it couldn't completely fit into. The appearance of the laptop also matters since I intend to also use it for work and don't want to show up at a meeting with a laptop that has a glowing alien head on the cover. Both of these laptops are conservative looking.

I'm currently strongly leaning towards the MSI laptop because of price, GPU and screen size.
