Sup fellas
I think I might have a little virus, but I'm not sure. A couple of days ago weird things started happening to my pc. It all started with google chrome tabs closing when clicking on them. This issue had been going on for about a week. Yesterday things changed a bit though: sometimes mouse clicks don't register, but only on some parts of the screen while other buttons work just fine so I highly doubt there's an issue with the mouse.
There's also the issue of an extremely high (80-95%) cpu-usage while on the desktop running nothing at all except the task manager. I can clearly hear my cpu and gpu fans revving up to almost max rpm, so I think my pc might be linked to a botnet for bitcoin-mining or something like that. I ran a quick and a full scan with the latest version of malewarebytes, which seemed to have solved the issue after detecting and removing about 7 suspicious files. However, I had the exact same thing when I booted up just now. Is this a virus, and if so, what is the best (free) way to get rid of it, or is it something else?
Regards,
Cheeki.
