Next graphics card for next gen?

I'm looking to be able to play next gen games at least on very high and am aware i need to upgrade my rig. Price range i am willing to save for some time but if cheaper cards would do i would be glad.

Current set-up:
XFX HD RADEON- 6950 2gb edition
I7- 2700k OC@3.9ghz
2X 4 GB Ram
167 gb samsung SSD
1 TB Hard drive
Water cooler

Wondering also if i would have to upgrade my CPU

The GTX 780 is pretty nice.
And no you won't need to change anything until 2025, because the CPU is high end and 8gb of RAM is perfect for the future

You think i would have to upgrade anything else?
Other than those two mentioned these were the other ones i was looking at, are these pointless i do only have a 1920x 1080 screen size.

So the i7's that run at 4.5 ghz etc like 4700k overclocked are irrelevant ?
Metro last light gives me 2fps sometimes, its that bad ha and thankyou for helping :), just have to decide between the 780 or 280/90
