Hi, I'm building my first computer for work and some casual gaming and was hoping for some external input on my build. Thank you for your help!

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($74.99 @ Micro Center)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.44 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($219.99 @ TigerDirect)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.99 @ TigerDirect)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($64.01 @ Amazon)
Monitor: BenQ RL2455HM 60Hz 24.0" Monitor ($179.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $818.39

Solution
If your work does a lot of number crunching then the 6 core would be justified, if not, go for the 4 cores (assuming you are trying to get a cheaper build). And since the system will be used for work, you might want to invest in a SSD, 128 gigs atleast.

Other than the two things above, everything is cool :)
