Hi,
I' m going to build my own gaming pc soon and have a question, should i get the:
-AMD Radeon R9 290 Royal King (saw it new for 260 euro's)
-Nvidia Geforce Gtx 770 (MSI N770 TF - about 280 euro's)
This will be my 1st gaming pc build and don't want to buy the wrong parts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this one is from club 3D. Also will I be missing out on any major things by going amd and not nvidia. (and will it work with this motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 pc mate - sorry for the maybe dumb questions ^^)Yes it will work however could you send me a link of the gpu? It may be a rebranded version of the reference model. Also if you want I can review all of your components.

That would be marvellous, (i saw the nvidia 780 for 40 more euro's now than the r9 290, would that be woth it?)
The amd r9 290 i' m looking at has costum coolers, I was looking at this becouse the reference card is suposed to run hot and produce a lot of noise (http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/pro...).
The pc components I will probeply use will be:
- Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 pc mate
- GPU: Amd Radeon R9 290 - Nvidia gtx 770 (- Nvidia gtx 780, 40 euro's more then r9 290)
- CPU: intel core i5-4570
- HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
- Power Supply: Corsair TX650M
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600-8GB (2x4GB)
- Case: Cooler Master cm 690 III or Bitfenix Ghost
- SSD: I will use a kingston 128gb ssd that my friend had laying around (to save money)
It would be superb if you could review my components
Thanks in advance
(also i selected the ''BEST AWENSER'' button on accident, does anyone know how to turn it back?)

that looks like a pretty good build, definitely get the 290 over the 770, its much faster, even one with a stock cooler would be faster. The stock coolers arent all together bad, at least they get the heat out of your case. Replace the stock thermal paste with a good one and tweak the fan speed curve to get a good compromise of noise vs performance and they run pretty well.

As for the 780 I would still recommend the 290 given that it is a non reference model. They have around the same performance(290 beats the 780 by a little in most games) and I would honestly say get the one that is cheaper as they both have their pros and cons. As for what model you should get I would recommend the windforce or the trix. I do not know anything about the club 3d but it looks very good. Is it a rebranded powercolor?

I get that you recomend me these other brands though i can't get them for the same price as the Club3D one.
That now is the main reason i'm looking at the 780 (from Asus) as that one has more reviews than the r9 290 from Club3D does. Also, I' d like to know if all these Nvidia features like Shadowplay and Physx are realy important, I guess that Amd has such a list aswell. (As for the powercolor, I don't realy know what that is *sorry*) Thank you aswell for the help, I almost figured it out, just this last part i can't quite put my finger on.

I would still get the 290. If you will be using shadowplay and physx get the 780 if not get the 290. I did some reasearch of the club 3d r9 290 and it looks good. You can't go wrong with either card so get the one that you think will be better for you.
290- more VRAM
Better performance in most games
Mantle
Better performance in bf4
780- physx
Overclocks a lot
Shadowplay
Performs better in physx games (arma 3)
Get the one that is best for you.
