Hi I was wondering if there are any differences between the EK D5 PWM, the XSPC D5 PWM and the Swiftech MCP655-PWM pumps, performance-wise and/or noise-wise. Which one would you advise me to get ?

I plan to get one of those D5's ( naked ) and mount it in the Koolance COV-RP450 PMP-450 top. Any of them would be compatible with it ?

I haven't studied reservoirs much, I thought I'd just go with a Koolance res ( tube ) since the top is from that brand. Nothing wrong with their res ? or something I should look out for

Finally, has someone ever heard of a silent box tailored for D5 pumps + an aftermarket top ?
I don't seem to find anything like that, and I was thinking maybe to get the Alphacool silent box for DDC pumps and see if I can mod it ( I bet the box will be to small, but maybe bending, dremeling etc can lead to something, don't know )
Well if you have any idea or answers, they are welcome ^_^

Thanks

I've never compared them side by side, but i'd say they should be the same. The D5 is made by Laing and not EK/XSPC or anyone else. Those companies just rebrand it.

Also a side note, make sure you connect the pwm cable right. if you plug it into a 3pin fan header, your pump is basically dead.
