So I haven't upgraded or kept up I awhile and I believe it is time. Just got my wife the acer aspire r7 and I'm kinda jealous. What I really need is a modest upgrade to get the most out of my games within a $200 to $400 range. My current desktop is a phenom 9600, aod790gx, hd 6770, and 4gb of ddr2 ram.

Not a big enough budget to upgrade your GPU. SO just get a CPU, RAM and motherboard upgrade. Get these
