Quick question about the dell Inspiron 580 motherboard.. I just bought a pear of headphones ( HyperX Cloud ) and they use the audio / mic jacks for the motherboard. Now my question is will having this semi-old ish motherboard effect what I hear / sound like on my computer?

I was told I can get a sound card but if the sound is decent / my mic sound is decent I don't think i'll get a sound card but want to know if it will be needed since the motherboard is a bit old and maybe not as good idk

If you plug it in and it sounds 'good' to you, no sound card needed.
If you plug it in and it sounds 'bad' to you....maybe consider a sound card.

Only your ears can tell.

Yeah I figured that, the headset comes tomorrow just wanted to know if anyone knew if the on board audio for the motherboard is "good" or if it even matters

Alright, thanks for the quick help and if it sounds bad I'll browse around for some good sound cards :)
