So I built my desktop in 2009 and I'm proud(?) to say the guts are still going strong. Here's what I have still running from the original build:

P6T X58 1366 ATX Motherboard
UCP 700 Watt ATX EPS/12V Power Supply
Intel® Boxed Core® i7 Processor 920
Gold XTC 6GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) Triple Channel DIMM Memory Kit (Three 2GB Memory Modules)

I'm also sporting a GTX 570 and a 256 SSD and another 2TB HD that I've upgraded over the past few years.

I'm wondering what should be next? I'd really like something that can run Watch Dogs on Day 1 with no issues and I'm concerned about the memory (only 6GB). Should I just upgrade from 2GB to 4GB modules? Or (and this is more so I can keep up with next gen games) should I finally upgrade the mobo and processor? Lastly, is it time to upgrade my video card?

I don't keep up with the hardware scene on a regular basis, especially when it comes to what I would consider the 'guts' (mobo, CPU and RAM). Any insight, particularly on those three components would be appreciated.

Oh, from a budget perspective, I'm willing to go high end. :)

looks like your system can run watch dogs From what i can tell, and probably any other game out this year although the graphical quality i am not sure about. 6GB of ram is great as games are only just starting to use more than 4GB with the odd exception.

I would wait till maxwell gpus are release and get one, or get an older version when price drops.

plus with directx 12 coming next year, CPU overheads will get reduced for gaming making games less CPU intensive, though how much is anyones guess.

If you really must buy something, maybe a new mobo and cpu would be best of all as it will make day to day tasks more efficient, as that seems to be the weakest link in your system as not all games will support new api's in gaming too.
