Please help--I tried to convert a single Word doc to PDF, and it suddenly w/out any warning turned ALL my files into PDFs that I cannot open, getting error message that file may be corrupted. This is nuts. All files inaccessible b/c I tried to turn one into a PDF. Can anyone help please?

just a quick update for any who run into this problem: the fix may be quite simple, although it took trying the same thing several times. but finally when I right-clicked a PDF file and opened as word, it turned all the files back into word. hope that helps someone else.

Seriously? I suspect a significant dose of "pilot error" here..
you don't mention which tools you were using..
For fun - I just tested in my Office 2013 install - and could not reproduce your issue.. it did the single file I told it to do
