Hi,

I have dual monitors.

In my computer I've got two Nvidia GTX 460 hooked up together in SLI mode.

I only use one monitor as my primary monitor (the one that I play video games on) the other monitor is basically for watching youtube videos, or twitch streams, reading pdf manuals etc.

What I need to know is when it comes to plugging in both monitors, do I plug them both into just one of my GTX 460 cards, or do I plug one monitor into each of the Nvidia cards (Remember the cards are setup together in SLI mode.

Thanks

You need to plug them both into one of the cards, in SLI mode there is a master card that is feeding the screens, the other cards it is hooked to become the slaves and do not attempt to output anything to monitors.

Thanks very much, that's the way that I've been doing it all this time, but for some reason I was wondering if the secondary monitor might get better performance being plugged into the second graphics card but thanks to you I now know not to do that.

Much appreciated.
