I'm going to assume by fraps you mean fps. For gaming you want the best graphics card you can afford, but your cpu will prevent games from using the full power of the gpu so you need a good balance. buying a new motherboard won't be a very good use of your money for your budget. I would recommend finding how much money you're willing to spend, then browse some new graphics cards. If you do a lot more than gaming you might want to invest in a new processor and buy a new graphics card when you have more money.

i only want to play games that is it no more than that and thanks for the fast reply so whats really the problem here cpu or gpu cuz what i want is to play dolphin games i know dolphin have its issues but i've seen so many pc's on youtube with guys getting good fps and no lag i just hate lag in games i know i will have to spend more but i can't spend more than maybe 400-300 since am not in america i have to order so things might be a little more expensive games like need for speed most wanted 2012 and sonic generation i get good fps but than it drops i don't know why

Oh am sorry i have a Gigabyte Amd radeon r7 250 1gb Gddr5 oc edition and Amd athlon ii x4 645 3.1ghz 8Gb Ddr2 (800mhz) power supply xtech 500watts msi 785gt-e63 motherboard my budget is around 300-400 ec dollars

the whole machine is a mess. the power supply is weak. putting a decent card in requires more. the processor is weak. is it worth upgrading it? without some serious investment it's not worth moving on.

minimum cpu/PS/graphics............ did I say power supply? you can't just slap stuff in your machine without first upgrading that.

if you put a newer processor on the board you will probably need to update the BIOS so it will support it.
