Best cheap CPU for server.

Hi,

I would like to know which CPU would be the best for a file server, I was hoping for one under 100$ that doesn't waste too many transistors on the iGPU (since I won't even plus a monitor in).

I mostly do file transfers over SMB and also RC4 encrypted
... I actually have a Atom N270 and since I started using encryption the bandwidth has dropped 1/2. Of course any CPU would be better than a N270, but an energy efficient one would be nice. I was also thinking ahead about maybe using the AES instruction for efficient encryption...

Basically, I want to have a better network transfer speed (compared to my 30MB/sec)

Thank you for your answers!

By the way, I found an add with a i5-2320 for 110$, tell me if this would be better then a new cheap CPU!

i5s are way overkill for a file server. I was going to get the $39 Intel g1610 for my file server before I went in a different direction. But if you want AES you could go with the $40 Athlon x2 340 or if you just really want 4 cores the Athlon x4 740 is only around $70. The fm2+ motherboards are actually pretty feature rich.
