AMD 14.4 driver issue

Alright so I've tried to install the 14.4 drivers twice now, and they are the updated ones without the AHCI included, which seems to have caused the issue I'm currently having for other people. I install the driver, during the install the screen goes black, doesn't come back on, and even rebooting it still stays black once Windows loads up.

I've had to go into safe mode and do a system restore, and I've installed the drivers fresh with no previous drivers.

These are my specs:

Radeon 7950 HD 3gb
24gb 1600mhz Ddr 3
Msi 970A-G43
1000w psu

Sorry if there's any errors I'm typing from my phone.

Solution
mixing memory like that is not a good idea either that may be part of the issue always use matched kits to insure stability. well i don't know I use the 13.12 I see too many 14 issues here with amd cards and new don't mean better.. I use a 7850 but a lot of the new drivers are mostly wrote for the newer released cards and just support your older one so it may fix things for the 7000 cards or just the newer r cards ...don't know 13.12 is working fine for me ...
where in the release notes is wolfenstine ?? no fix there that I see..

also 14.3 was a beta driver and theres no support on it
what baffles me is why amd feels they need to give a chipset driver in a vid card driver?? what were they trying to pull with that?? thanks for that info. now I cant trust there drivers just to be vid card drivers with out wondering what else there sliding in under the radar..

Well, I downloaded the updated chipset drivers separately and they installed flawlessly, I tried to use the 14.4 WHQL doing a custom install and turning off everything but the drivers/CCC and it still presented the same issue.

Also, I have 24GB because I originally had 8GB, but a friend of mine sent me two sticks of 8GB each. The driver I'm currently using is 14.3, but 14.4 is supposedly a large update that fixes some issues with current games, including the new Wolfenstein game.

I have the same type of memory though, it wasn't a mix and match; I've also updated to 14.3 before once I put the sticks in. On the steam page for Wolfenstein it says at the bottom recommended to update to 14.4, and I can't play Battleblock Theater without updating because the older drivers screw up the text dialogue.

well I don't support steam cause now you don't know if its them or you... I cant help you with anything there involved in. none of my games require steam or any other 3ed party I have to rely on in order to load or play them ..

memory is matched to work together at the factory that's why its in kits anybody here will tell you this individual sticks are just that ..

steam recommended to update to 14.4 --- I recommend you send me $1000,

that 7950 should run the game on 13.12 its a nice card

down load the amd driver to a file on your desktop [from amd]
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

start computer as normal-- got to add/remove programs--- uninstall all your old cards drivers and add on programs for the card--- shut down and then reboot back to desktop normally [ i dont like to do safe mode here cause it my hide an issue ] and it should be running on the windows default driver if so reinstall the driver you dowmloaded to the file on the desktop and re boot and see if it took..
