Is a GTX 760 or 770 overkill for 1600*900?

Hello Guys!

As I have been collecting my computer parts, people have been helping me on deciding what to get and I decided to get a GTX 760 or 770.
I have a 1600*900 monitor, but I am planning on buying a 1080P monitor within a few months.
So my question to you guys is, on 900P, what are the expected FPS in BF4 maxed out?
Is 900P fine for gaming?
And is it worth upgrading?

Thanks!

Solution
expect BF4 fps to be your monitors refresh rate at 1600/900. That is certainly a fine resolution to game on if you dont mind. Most people would probably say its worth upgrading to 1080p. the 770 might be overkill with your current monitor but is a great card if you upgrade. The 760 will work well with either although at 1080 you might need to turn quality down slightly

Thanks!

I am one of those graphics freaks, so for now I will keep my 1600*900 monitors and run maxed out. Then later I will upgrade it later. Thanks for the quick response.

Get GTX-770 if you can because it's much cheaper than before but still powerful for almost all games.
I have GTX-760 2GB version and it runs current games with low or disabled AA (usually SSAA) with 40~100-FPS (depends on game) but if I turn on SSAA in Metro Last Light my FPS gos below 20 and usually I get 20~30-FPS with 4xSSAA.
The monitor I have is 23'inch 1080p monitor :)

I am going to go with yes lol my old 670gtx EVGA 4gb SC used to play battlefield 4 on ultra all settings maxed @ 1080p at around 50-60 fps... that being said there nothing wrong with the extra headroom if you want it :D
