I am not happy with the way this card heats up my case to 80c without being overclocked. It made my fans jack up to 100 and sounded like an airport. So I invested in the Sapphire Dual-X Radeon HD 7950 3gb card because the reviews say it has better cooling and obviously a much better card. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for me in that regard? I am very new to this world and this PC is my first build.
Specs:
AMD FX-6300 6 core processor 3.5 ghZ(stock fan)
Corsair Vengeance 8gb DDR3 Ram at 1866
KenTek 950w power supply
Raidmax Cobra ATX mid-size case
super multi SATA DVD optical drive
Toshiba 1TB SATA hard drive at 7200 rpm
MSI 970-G43 mobo(PCIe 2.0 x 16)
and currently using my old card because i took out the 6950, which is a brand new MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 (PCIe 3.0 x 16)

yeah im waiting for a 7950 in the mail (sapphire 3gb GDDR5, dual X)
yes the card was in the top slot and i dont know how to use the cmos yet. im pretty new to all of this

see if the information is in this manual to reset the cmos. it should also be in the booklet that came with your motherboard. you will need foxit reader to view it.

if you have the 7950 coming try it. same results, it's time to look at the motherboard or the power supply.

the card was a dud. it attempted to start but then had colored lines cover up the start screen then went to black permanently
So i have to get a refund and buy another 7950 and wait another week to get it. Ugh.....
the busted card was a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Dual X With Boost.
