I used windows 8 because it came with my computer that i bought and I upgraded to windows 8.1 not too long ago. Now all my themes are messed up and everything is a wreck. I was wondering if it is possible i can install windows 7 and not have to reinstall my programs and games when I downgrade. I have 2 spare hard drives that I don't use and aren't hooked up at the moment but if I need to use them I can.

You need to backup your programs if you like to reinstall or install windows 7, or remove your current drive, use your other drive and install windows there. but still your programs are need to be reinstall again.

for Games, if its STEAM, you can back up your steam games, save it to another hard drive or disk, or partition if you have one. then installing the steam games is quite easy, just restore it.
