I had the same problem! And one day, nothing more. But now I can't overlclock my CPU! I have an i7 4770K and the mobo is an Asus Z87-Pro. When I overclock my CPU the frequency in the task manager goes down to 800MHz! What can I do?

See what it shows in CPU-Z on the CPU tab, bottom left next to Multiplier, if you have OCed to say 4.2 it should show X something, then (8-42) that would indicate that yes it's OCed to 4.2 but the range is 800 to 4200, it will only climb to the max when needed - it's not permanently running at 4.2, this saves power and is less stress on the CPU (no need to run at 4.2 when idle
