Does Dell Venue Pro smartphone support skype now? Is it available in India?

I would like to buy a smartphone with a physical qwerty keypad. However skype is essential. Dell Venue Pro seems like the best available. I just want to know for certain if it has the skype app and if it is available in India (since it seems it has been discontinued in US). Thanks!

Yes, it has skype. However, i'm not quite sure it would work: http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-Phone/Dell-venue-pro-BSD-after-skype-Freeze/td-p/759548

I would recommend getting an Android phone like the Moto E, and if you NEED a keyboard, find an Android phone with one. The Moto E is available in India it is much more modern, and it has a better Operating system by far. I would avoid Windows Phone.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! Is there a specific reason why you avoid windows phone? I have neither used android nor windows before so am really ignorant of the specificities of both as well as open to either!
