Is GTX 760 is worth the money, or should I wait for the Maxwell architecture to come out?

Maxwell is more power efficient, but that doesn't necessarily mean a $250 Maxwell version will be a more powerful gaming card than the GTX760 since we don't know the pricing yet.
It's all rumors still, but I'd say at least three months. (of course the GTX750Ti is Maxwell and here already but it's a $150 card and similar to AMD less power efficient cards of the same price)
I'm estimating roughly 30% more processing power at the same die size, but 10% to 20% more value though prices may be high at launch so there may not be ANY added value.

An ASUS GTX 760 DCUII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DBPKEOI should last you 2-3 years at least if you're playing at 1080p. photonboy is right, waiting for Maxwell may not even benefit you and it's at least another 3 months before they come out.
Playing the waiting game is a never ending one. If you need something now then go ahead with the 760.
