What is wrong with my gaming rig?

Hi I have a question bout my setup, hope you guys can help me.

I have been watching some videos of games that I play and I noticed that my computer cant keep up to this games.
Sample of the gameplay of the games running on the same video card as I do, Radeon 270x OC Edition
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-l8Pi7Vl7k - Need for Speed Rivals
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT3jVYPxEUA - Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag.

Both have smooth fps and when I play it on my system, on the same settings, I get 12fps minimum- 25 maximum.

Can Anyone help me solve this problem so I could get the same performance as these guys do? Without getting exactly the same parts as they have of course.

My specs:
Processor - AMD Fx-8150(Not overclocked)
MOBO - Asrock N68C-GS FX
RAM - 4G DDR3 1333 Team Elite
GPU - PCS+ Radeon R9 270x OC Edition
HDD - 500GB WD Caviar blue 5400 rpm
OS - Freshly Installed Windows 8.1

I am always checking task manager and I see that I dont need to upgrade the ram yet because it doesnt even reach the max capacity when i play these games.

Anyone help?
Thanks and Good Day

Basic question, what resolution you use?
In that video for NFS they use 1360x768. If you use higher resolution your FPS will drop drastically.

Even older/less powerful cards allow to play new games on high FPS if you lower resolution.

EDIT: You play same games on same settings as they do?
If you do, 1st classic question is if you got latest drivers for GPU and fully patched game.

Well they both have intel processors.

But you should be getting better fps than 12-25 though. Run heaven 4.0 and valley 1.0 benchmarks then post your scores. We need to start getting to the bottom of this problem.

Also run cinebench 11.5.

Pm4 is correct- you need to check you're game settings and make them the same to theirs to comapre.

The FX 8150 might be holding you back- allot of games aren't very good at using multiple threads, and the 8150 isn't great for it's per thread performance. Another thing to check- what drivers are you using for the R9 270X? it's important to get the latest drivers from www.amd.com as the ones installed by windows will be out of date.

A good test of machine performance is to run the free demo of 3-D Mark and report you're score- it should give you a comparison table, you're machine should perform similar to other machines of similar specification, if not then you might have a problem.

According to this Assassins Creed 4 should run ok on an FX (well the never version at least):
http://www.hardwarepal.com/assassins-creed-4-black-flag-benchmark-cpu-gpu/8/

Need for speed is notoriously badly optimised for PC though (lots of other people finding problems with it). It only really runs well on Intel i5 or better from what I can tell.

I see. Is the FX 4300 better than my FX 8150?

The newer FX X3XX parts have an updated design which is a little faster than the earlier X1XX range like you have, but not by allot. The 4300 is only a 4 core chip, so really you're 8150 should be better.

The results you're getting sound too low to me, maybe there's some settings that need adjusting in the bios, as a starting point you could try loading the "optimised defaults" and see if that helps...

I already tried that optimised defaults on the bios. It what i notice it only does is it brings down my memory mhz to 667mhz. So i have to manually setup 1333 mhz on it to recognize the speed of the ram. I also tried the naximum performance settings but it just crashes my system. After a few minutes it just ahuts down by itseld.

Yes all the new drivers are installed.
Well I live in a tropical country. Room temp as of now is 33-35C.
I am using the stock cooler of the processor as of the moment.
If i change PSU will it solve the problem?

are you using the latest stable driver? don't use beta driver. this happened to my r7 260x once but then i use stable driver instead of beta driver.
i used to get 23 fps max @ 1024x768
now i get up to 56 fps on the sea and 45 fps on the cities (same resolution)
i'm using an old monitor
