Hi, I have a ASUS VG278HE monitor and I was playing around with it and found out the screen I have has a cool mode where you can have an on-screen cross hair or timer. I followed the instructions to use it but it didn't work. Then I read the manual and it said you needed to use VGA but I use DVI. I heard VGA is bad or something can someone please clarify this, and if its true, is it such a big deal for it to not work if I use DVI?

VGA is not "bad" and never has been. It's just that DVI has the potential to provide a clearer image, important to gamers perhaps but the difference between VGA and DVI image quality is something that most people will never notice, and that includes me because I've tried both on the same graphics card and same monitor. No discernible difference at all, so I see no point in losing my monitor's OSD.

I'm not too chuffed I wasted my money on a DVi cable either.
