Wondering which is better...everything I've checked on those sites like hwcompare show that GTX 650TI > GTX 750TI, yet here I read that 750ti > 650 ti...any idea why?

I got a list of a few ones I found (because cost is an issue...not that I can't afford it, but I seem to think that if I pass $200, I may as well get the GTX 660 or something in the Radeons)

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item...
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item...
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item...

which one is actually better? I saw that the 650 Ti Boost > 750 TI, but the boost is a 1gbddr5...is it still better? size too is an issue, id rtaher not have a 10 inch card in my mid tower...my MOBO is about 9 inches...im looking for anything smaller than 8...maybe 7...6 is good :D  5...^-^...4...well...3 :D

Or if anyone else has better recommendations. I live in the Ontario area so I'd prefer to pickup or...well delivery for free :D  or at least the cost < me going to buy it here...

TigerDirect
CanadaComputers
NCIX (newly discovered)

are nearby me...or if anyone else has any ideas or OP's about other GPU's!

A quick spec...

More or less...I'm looking for good/great FPS (I'd like 40+ in things like TERA etc)..and Deus Ex...somehow I've had an issue (huge one with BSOD/black screens etc...literally crashes/freezes with atikmpag.sys errors...I tried installing the newest 14.4 beta/normal and CD driver...still crashes my PC...

My PC:

my BIOs is 12/12/2012 American Megatrends with my
M5A97 LE R2.0 MOBO
Corsair CS 650m
AMD FX-4350
8 GB DDR3
Cooler Master (external cooling for the CPU)

HW compare shows that the GTX 750 TI and 650 TI trade blows, not that the GTX 650 TI is better all around.
The GTX 650 TI's advantages are mostly in shader performance, which all cards now have an abundance of anyway. the GTX 750 TI's advantages outweigh that, and in games the GTX 750 TI will perform a bit better than the GTX 650 TI. Not by a wide margin though; the main draw of the GTX 750 TI over the GTX 650 TI is that it uses the Maxwell architecture, and therefore draws much less power and will support gsync, in addition to the slightly higher game performance.

Just so you know, some GTX 660s go for $180, but I don't think any that cheap are less than 10".

As for the VRAM... If you're playing at 1600x900 or below, 1GB is fine. At 1080p, 1GB is borderline, still fine for most games, but not for the new ones.

I would strongly recommend a Radeon R7 260 or R9 270 if your budget allows it. They are the best bang for your buck cards out there right now. Here is a link to the R9 270 MSI version: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

The R7 260 is weaker than a GTX 750 TI or GTX 650 TI.

The R9 270 is a bit more expensive than a GTX 660, but performs a bit better most of the time.

Get the R9 270/270x if that suits u. It would probably be the best for ur budget and if u can exceed the 200$ range, then get the 280.

best for the budget would be an AMD R7 265, the prime budget card that is better then the 750 series nvidia cards and below budget.

I actually have a XFX r7 260x, thjis one here:

http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=4...

Let me tell you...I don't know what (but I'll ask you tech pros here) but it does not work with my PC...

Here are my specs...

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
AMD FX-4350 19 °C
Vishera 32nm Technology
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24)
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M5A97 LE R2.0 (Socket 942) 29 °C
HL269DPB (1920x1080@60Hz)
HD RADEON 6450 1 GB DDR3
931GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 ATA Device (SATA) 34 °C
1863GB Seagate Desktop USB Device (USB (SATA))
DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NS95 ATA Device
Realtek High Definition Audio

As for PSU, I have a Corsair CS650M....anyhow the issue with mine is that my BIOs is the one from the CD for my M5A97 LE R2.0, and the date is 12/12/2012 American Megatrends or something...I've had someone tell me that upgraidng my BIOs would help me stop the problems I'm getting on my R7 260x (which is....blackscreen.....no load....crash with BSOD...basically I cant boot my PC up even though keyboard lights will show sometimes....and it gives me blue screeN BSOD errors with atikmpag.sys....WITHOUT the driver the card SEEMS to be fine though)

Any thoughts guys?

Thats kinda why I'm opting to go with nVidia...I'm thinking that I'm having some issue with the AMD drivers...BUT my HD 6450 works completely fine and smooth (no crashing I mean or any black screen ever) with the in-case CD driver...any idea what my problem is?

My bios? (12/12/2012 American Megatrends for M5A97 LE R2.0...any help to identify/how to upgrade would be nice)
My PCIe? (but the HD6450 works fine and the R7 260x works as "Standard VGA Driver" without problems too until driver is installed)
My PSU?

Kinda lost, thats why I thought maybe nVidia wouldn't have that problem.

I actually was thinking of getting R9 270 since thats about the price of ra GTX660...but I'm hesitant because of this driver thing for the R7 260x...

How is Club 3D btw?

I have a R7 260x, but I'm having a huge issue with it (posted above reply or in other threads)

I've no idea what the problem is...BIos or just a faulty card or whatnot...

Ok, have u updated to the latest version of your bios? Have you uninstalled all the gpu drivers completely and then did fresh installation?
The corsair CS650M is a good PSU. Have u tried testing your Gpu on another pc? Try that.
Do u have an aftermarket cooler? what are the cpu and gpu temps before crashing? Have u tried reinstalling windows?

Well my temperature is under 30oC.....doesn't even really go up

I have a Cooler Master thing that sticks out from atop the CPU....its i forgot the model name but has like 5-6 copper bars and a silver metal thingies on top with a fan.

It is a fresh installation, I installed genuine windows 7, and installed all the drivers from my MOBO CD...and then only after I installed the stuff on the MOBO cd...then I tried to install the r7 260x drivers (this time under search, i EXCLUDED the AHCI driver but NOT the USB driver even though people said you should), then it crashed...well actually...this time (or that time i mean) it restarted okay...then crashed and didnt work after...again with the atikmpag.sys error...

I have no other PC that can support this GPU...as I said I upgraded to this new set of PC equip after like 3-4 years...and even then i dont need the most uptodate so my "newest" before this was the P5QL or something with things like HD4350 and windows XP with like 2x2gb ddr3 rams...and i dont think any of those old PSU's has the connector PIN...that aside, they are all Windows XP....

i've been told its a driver situation since 1) my PSu doesn't crash with this other card...nothing randomly shuts down/reboots etc...fans run fine 100% of the time (even during those black screens it runs) 2) not my PCIe because my slot runs the HD6450 that I have fine, and even reads R7 260x BEFORE driver installation as "Standard VGA Driver"....

Your psu is good enough and is not likely to cause any problems. So, have u tried updating the bios through the asus updater that came with ur mobo's installation disc? Can't it test your gpu on any other pc? your friends or relatives, anyone? IF the problem persists even after updating to the latest bios, then your gpu is a faulty one.
Keep updating.

Don't you have the software on your mobo's installation disc(one that came with the MB' box).
Otherwise, download the latest bios version for your board from the aus website and try to flash it with a USB flash drive.

Just the bios part and flash it using a usb flash drive. I think it would be better for you if you take ur mobo to your nearest service center and ask them to update the bios. They will do it.

It would do.
You can follow these steps:
1.Download the latest bios file from the asus website for ur mobo.
2.copy it over to a usb flash disk drive.
3.restart the pc and enter the bios.
4.Start Asus EZ flash and then select your bios from the device and then update.
