Please tell me which is the better card. Also if this card will run Hitman Absolution without issue...

Yeah, the R9 270 is a lot faster and it will run HA at max without any issue. What processor and PSU do u have?

The 270 is notably faster than the 750 in HA but one card is at about $110 and the other at $190 they are not really comparable.

GTX 760 $229 = 52 fps
R9 270 $189 = 51 fps
R7 265 $140 = 45 fps
GTX 650 Ti Boost $110 = 38 fps
GTX 750 $110 = 33 fps

Here's a 2nd source ,,,puts the 270 a bit lower at 41 fps

Overall....with the 270 being 100%....other cards come in as follows:

760 is 18% faster
650 Ti is 15% slower
750 is a little bit slower than the 650 Ti

270 is faster than the 650Ti boost and significantly faster than a 750 and it's performance is on par with a gtx660. And a 270 is priced at 190$, instead it is 155$.

Cpu is planned to be an AMD fx 6300.....only problem is i'm unsure since this cpu doesnt support pci-e 3.0, but the radeon card requires pci-e 3.0...:(
Will this bottleneck my video card in any way?? Cos sm people say its compatible....bt i jst want to be sure... Dies it require a seperate volt supply frm the PSU? Or will a 450W jst work??

It is not the processor that seeks support from the X16 lane but it is the GPU. If u have a mobo with 2.0 then also u can have a 270 installed. It is said that 270 supports the latest 3.0 technology which does not mean that it does not supports the 2.0. Of course it does, the 3.0 is 2-3% faster the the 2.0. So don't worry about that.
Yes the 270 requires auxillary power connector which has to be supplied from your psu. Have u already bought the psu? Is it a branded 450W If not, then get yourself a GTX750Ti which consumes much much less power than a 270 and does not require auxillary power connector. The TDP of gtx750Ti is just 60W which means it would draw all the power from the PCI-E x16 lane.

Haven't bought PSU yet...should it be branded?? Any suggestions?

Yes it should be branded for durability and reliability. Get something like the Corsair Cx500(u wouldn't need more than that unless u plan to do xfire in future only if u buy a 270).

XFX 550W would be perfect for a FX 6300 and R9 270. If you choose the 750 get XFX 450w instead.

For a CX430 a corsair CX430 would be more than enough.

It seems the r9 270 doesn't include a dvi-vga adapter. My monitor has a vga input....I'm not sure what kind of adapter is required to feed the dvi output from r9 270 into vga input of monitor.....(what should be male or female in the adapter??)

Best PSUs .... Seasonic X series / Corsair HX*
Next Best ..... Corsair AX / XFX Black
Very Good ..... Corsair TX V2 / Corsair RM series, XFX Core Edition / Antec HCG / HCP, Seasonoc M12
Good "for the money" ** .... Corsair CX / CX M, Antec Neo / Earthwatts

* HX 650, 750, 850 are great .....1000 and 1050 are dogs
** Good "for the money" means it's a pretty good PSU "for the money".... That qualification appears in almost every review and the prevalence of that statement "good for the money" makes me antsy ...... kinda like dinner at McDonalds. Personally I would use it in a machine I build for my kids grandma so she could e-mail and share pics with the kids..... or for light office duty. I would not use any of these on an overclocked machine or something subject to long periods of high stress. They suffer from bad performance during Advanced Transient Response tests on the 3.3 volt rail pretty much across the board from low capacities to the high, generally have bad hold up times and the capacitors are ones I wouldn't subject to the loads described above.
