Ho'der fawkz! Today it is simple as it is - I'm looking for a laptop. Just a well build reliable laptop, like asus a53e which I had before it was stolen recently :(
I'm not a dev, not a photoshopper, not a hardcore gamer, though I do some NFS HP2, Fallout3, Painkiller, RTCW, D3, CMR05, SS2/3. Not something heavy. with Intel HD3000 was doing it just fine.
The variety of hardware on the market is huge, and I'm not so up to date 'bout all this stuff. And I don't wanna overpay for the features I will never need, nor wanna underpay and gitsum damn'ugly piece'o'junk with a marky chasis. I had hp dv6 and asus a53e, dv6 was ugly and badly designed (marky plastic chasis and horrible keyboard), but a53e was totally awesome.
Anyways I'm looking for something to perform not any worser than A53E.
Currently I'm choosing from Lenovo Ideapad G 500/510, Toshiba Satellite C55D, HP 17/G7's, Dell 17R-5735, Asus..

Update: looked for some CPU and GFX comparisons, seems like a8-4500, intel 4200u/m, doesn't differ much from i5-2450m in performance, but less power hungry. Also Radeon hd 7640g is better then hd3000, but more or less the same as hd4000/4600, also less power hungry :) Dell 17R-5735 is very attractive option. Also Lenovo IdeaPad G510 5940-4263, Lenovo IdeaPad G500 5938-8794 and Lenovo IdeaPad G510 59404255... But Dell is 17", 8G and 1TB and 59404255 is I7... Heeeeelp!

Not any more than 500-600 bucks. The prices r pretty bity here in Israel. The above dell 17 costs 600 only cuz it's refurbished and and outlet sale. Lenovo g500/510 goes about the same price. With eBay's uncool import charges shit it's not worthy anymore to buy from it. :-(

The Dell's specs are more balanced, it's a good laptop. The Lenovo on the other hand has a better CPU, but the graphics are weak. Can you provide some links to the other systems as well?
