Hi! I'm new to the custom PC scene. I've started working on this new build and I'm not familiar to good brands or even wattages in power supplies. Could someone please give me some advice as I am finding this part a bit tricky. I would like to know brands to avoid and a recommended wattage. I suspect ye get this sort of question a lot and I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge.

My parts list:

AMD FX8350 4 GHZ BLACK EDITION

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

GIGABYTE R9280x 3GB GDDR5

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

GSKILL X 1866Hz (2x4GB)

Thanks for your help! :)

I'd say this one would be a good fit

Antec HCG620M $67.99
Made by Seasonic, arguably the best PSU maker in the business, and semi modular.

A system with a 280x requires about a 600W power supply with 30A on the +12v rail and one 6pin plus one 8pin PCI-e power connector.

The Antec HCG has 620W with 48A on the +12v rail and two 6+2 PCI-e connectors.

It also won the Golden award on Hardware Secrets PSU testing site. Here is the review
