Hi

My work involves building/configuring servers in a workshop type of room. I was after some advise how best to equipt the room to minimise ESD.

Currently we have antistatic mats.

Please advise?

Many Thanks

Grounding works wonders. We have ESD workbenches that have a rounding post where we connect our wrist-straps to.

if the system is on a grounded ESD mate and you are connected to ground via a wrist-strap, you should be fine. I don't see a reason for ESD lab-coats

We have wooden work benches non grounded with mats on top. I was thinking of getting trainers to reduce esd.

In the past I've used wrist-straps clamped to the server chassis, is that the correct way?

The walls are breeze blocks and some say they should be covered in plaster and then paint.

Thanks
