Does Crucial M500 use FAT32 file system?

To do a bios update Qflash says i need to save the update to a drive using a FAT32/16/12 file system im wondering if my drive is okay for that. Im just being cautious i know updating the bios can be risky.

What would probably be a better idea would be to use a flash drive for the BIOS update cause converting the M500 into fat32 would mean reformatting the drive, erasing all data on it.
