So my goal is to build a custom PC that can run high end games (those that require a high end system) on very high-ultra settings. I have never built a computer before but have a basic idea of what I need. I don't even know what a computer like this would cost, so if anyone has some estimates that would be appreciated. Just to throw out a budget, lets say 1500$

As far as I know, these are the components I'll need to buy:

Motherboard
CPU (processor right?)
Hard Drive
Memory
Video Card
Computer Case
Fans (some cases include them right?)
Power Supply Unit
Monitor

I think that is all I will need. I most likely will be buying everything from Newegg.com
My main issue is when I got to a site and look at parts, I see about 50 options for each component. I do not know how to tell which components are compatible, and what components I should choose for my computer that will be able to run games on the settings I want.

I realize I am asking a lot but if someone could just help me out or point me in the right direction that would be VERY appreciated.

Click on "Choose A CPU" and then "Choose a Motherboard" etc... and select one, it will be added to your list each time. If any part is incompatible it will notify you.

I hit the "get started" button and it took me to a list type screen. On that screen, does it show me all the components I need?
