To explain some terms:
Overclocking: you may notice that some processors have a specific speed (ie 3.5GHz). Overclocking is increasing the speed of this processor beyond the "stock" speed that comes in the box (ie 4.0GHz). This gives you large boosts in performance, in exchange of a ton more heat generation from the processor.

SLI/Crossfire: technologies developed by Nvidia and AMD respectively for graphics cards. These allow multiple graphics cards of the same kind to be "linked" together, giving large increases in gaming performance. As the same with overclocking, ample cooling is required to offset the increase in heat generated by 2, 3, or 4 cards.
